This program focuses on the theoretical basis for experiential therapy, as well as the methods involved in the process. This training can benefit all professionals in therapy, counseling or teaching services fields, and other helping professionals. The Training Participants gain hands-on experience in applying and teaching experiential therapy when treating clients with trauma, addiction, sexual and other abuses, eating disorders, codependency and low self-worth. Basic psychodrama techniques are also reviewed. The training combines presentations by skilled professionals in the field, small-group practice sessions, participation in a "Reconstruction" (see Learning to Love Yourself Program), case studies and topical sessions focusing on particular applications. Thirty contact hours are available at this institute. |
