Can I request to be placed on your mailing list?
Yes, anyone can be placed on the mailing list for newsletters and catalogs. Our mailing list is strictly confidential, and we do not share, sell, or otherwise make any information available to anyone outside our office without your express written permission. Where did Onsite originate?
Sharon Wegscheider-Cruse, an expert in the field of experiential therapy, founded Onsite in 1978. Her dynamic approach to healing emotional pain became the foundation for the spectrum of programs Onsite offers today.
Are there exercise facilities available?
No, however, we are located on 70 acres in the beautiful Tennessee countryside, and have walking/jogging trails on the grounds. Clients are required to remain on the grounds during their program.
Can anyone attend the programs?
Onsite values diversity. Participants of any race, gender, religion, creed, age, sexual orientation or national origin are welcome.
Will anyone else know about my participation in the programs?
Onsite has strict confidentiality guidelines to protect participants' anonymity in accordance with the HIPAA Guidelines and Regulations. Simply put, our motto is, "Who and what you see and hear, stays here."
You may view our HIPAA Privacy Statement concerning your health records on page 2 of our Policy & Procedures FAQ.
Where can I get some of the materials used in the programs?
To order books, tapes, and videos used in our programs, visit our bookstore pages or contact us.
Can I use the phone while at an Onsite program?
Clients will have access to phones on the day they arrive at the program, and the day before they leave. Any other phone use is for emergency use only, with permission of a staff member. Clients are not allowed to bring cell phones, computers, fax machines, etc.
Can I use my personal vehicle during a program?
The use of private vehicles during all programs except Institutes, Healing the Family and Couples Intensive is not allowed. Clients must stay on the program grounds at all times.
Can I send and receive mail during a program?
Clients can receive and send mail during programs. Incoming mail should be addressed to the client c/o the Onsite office address.
What are the program accommodations?
Onsite has taken great care to provide a safe, comfortable, retreat-like atmosphere. The Drouillard House and Conference Center, located in the serene hills of Tennessee, is conducive to emotional growth.
Drouillard House, a beautifully restored 1870's mansion furnished in period antiques, is the elegant centerpiece of our comfortable Conference Center. Guests stay in the mansion or in one of our new, luxury log cabins.
What are the rooming arrangements?
Accommodations are similar to a hotel with a few exceptions. The rooms contain two or three beds and clients will stay with one or two roommates. Each room has a private bathroom. Men and women will room separately with two exceptions:
- In Coupleship Programs, each couple will have a private room.
- In Family Programs, family members will room together.
There are no televisions or telephones in the rooms. A very limited number of single rooms may be available during a program at an additional fee per night.
Smoking Policy
Keeping with our philosophy that nicotine is an addictive substance, all Onsite programs are nicotine-free.
Those who use nicotine will be welcome and will be supported in their abstinence during the programs.
What kind of food is served during programs?
Your total program cost includes all meals from dinner following your arrival at the program site through breakfast on the final morning, snacks and beverages. All meals are well balanced, nutritious, varied and tasty. Onsite promotes a well-balanced food selection, and meals are served buffet style.
We can accommodate vegetarian menus, but our clinical director must approve all other food plans. Meals are designed with enough alternatives to accommodate most food requirements.
Food is not permitted in rooms, nor is food to be brought to the program site.
Since we will be serving items that contain little or no caffeine, we suggest that clients gradually reduce their caffeine intake before they arrive.
What is included in my program cost?
All program fees include lodging and meals. Those who register 2 months in advance for any program can receive a discount of $100 per person. Program fees do NOT cover air transportation costs.
What is your cancellation/transfer policy?
Transfers:
Clients may request a transfer to a later program no more than two times. Transfer requests must be received in writing by our administrative office at least 14 days prior to the originally scheduled program date. A $50.00 transfer fee per person will be added to the balance due.
Cancellations:
If a cancellation occurs 14 or more days prior to a program's start date, the deposit, less $50 per person will be refunded.
If a cancellation occurs less than 14 days prior to the start of the program, the entire deposit is non-refundable. Sorry, no refunds are given if a participant does not attend, leaves the program early, or completes the program.
Transfers/Cancellations for Couples Intensive and Healing the Family:
Since the Couples Intensive and Healing the Family programs are schedule by arrangement only and prepaid costs have been incurred by Onsite, the 14 day cancellation policy does not apply to these programs. Upon program registration, $1000.00 of your deposit is non-refundable if you cancel or transfer prior to program start.
No refunds are given if a participant does not attend, leaves the program early, or completes the program.
What happens after I complete a program?
For participants in our 4 ½ day programs who wish to continue their work once they leave Onsite, a written aftercare plan will be sent to your therapist upon your approval. In all other programs, clients will leave with their aftercare plan in hand to implement and/or share with their therapist at home.
Will my insurance cover an Onsite program?
Onsite does not bill insurance. Clients are responsible for paying all program fees to Onsite.
Most likely, insurance companies will not reimburse clients who attend our programs for two reasons:
- The programs do not take place in a hospital setting, and/or
- Onsite does not generate a diagnosis for clients during a program.
Can family members/friends attend same program?
Members of the same family or close friends are not permitted to attend the same Living Centered Program.
Family members and close friends are allowed to attend other programs with clinical staff approval.
Do I need to be referred to Onsite by a therapist?
No. Although therapists refer about one half of our clients, anyone is welcome to register for a program. Many clients decide to attend a program based on recommendations from family members, friends, colleagues, etc., who have attended past programs.
Does Onsite need to communicate with my therapist?
For all programs, Onsite sends a letter to the clients' therapist if a release of information section has been completed on the questionnaire. This letter asks for any pertinent information they may have about their client, including current medication, diagnosis, goals, etc.
What happens after I make my deposit for a program?
After Onsite receives your program deposit, a notification letter and pre-program assessment forms are sent to you to complete.
Our clinical staff eveluates this information to determine if the program you have registered for is appropriate for your needs and issues. If it is not, your deposit less the processing fee is refunded.
Can program paperwork be emailed or faxed?
Due to the sensitivity of the information being submitted, email and website transfer is not available right now. We are in the process of upgrading our website to allow for secure data transfers, however, we currently accept only postal mail and fax.
We will fax paperwork to the client at no charge upon request. Postage for returning paperwork to Onsite is the responsibility of the client.
What happens after I mail my paperwork back to Onsite?
As soon as we receive a clients' paperwork, our clinical staff reviews it immediately. If a client is approved for the program the program coordinator will contact them as soon as possible and advise them to make travel arrangements.
If a client is not approved, our clinical staff will contact the client by phone to advise them of the reasons for not being approved.
Who is responsible for my travel arrangements?
The client is responsible for making all travel arrangements. Information to help you arrange your own travel will also be included in your welcome package.
For all programs except the professional training institutes, we advise clients not to make their flight arrangements until after they have been approved by the clinical director upon review of their paperwork. If for some reason they are not approved for the program, Onsite offers NO refunds towards airline tickets they may have purchased. We want to be sure that our program will benefit them and meet their needs, because it is a large financial commitment on their part.
It is possible for our clinical staff to pre-screen clients for pre-approval, allowing for travel arrangements to be made in advance. Please call for more information.
How do I register for a program?
A client makes a deposit (see Program Payments) and requests program information from Onsite. The deposit amount must be received before any paperwork is mailed or any space is reserved in a program.
There are 3 ways to pre-register for our programs:

Both deposit and tuition balance may be paid by personal or certified check, money order, VISA, Discover, Master Card or American Express.

Experiential therapy is an action-oriented model of therapy that goes beyond what many "talk" therapies access. All of Onsite's programs are group process and use a variety of active techniques.
